Nestled in the East Village is a hidden gem that you might miss if you’re not looking closely. On the east end St Mark’s Place, almost directly next to Thompson Square park is Crif Dogs, the ideal spot for your late-night cravings. With a menu consisting of hot dogs with crazy flavor combinations and crispy tater tots, you seriously cannot go wrong.

Some of my favorite dogs include the Jon-Jon Deragon, which is a pork and beef hot dog with a smear of cream cheese, sliced scallions and everything bagel seeds. Another favorite is the Morning Jersey, which is a hot dog wrapped in ham and deep fried, then toped with cheese and a fried egg. And be sure to get a side of tots and a cold PBR to satisfy your midnight munchies.
