Welcome to Coffee, Cabs and Bar Tabs; three necessities this 20-something New Yorker spends her small chef-paycheck on each month. I moved to NYC to attend cooking school at the International Culinary Center (formerly known as the French Culinary Institute), and to gain experience in the food industry. Between my passion for food and love for writing, I’ve started this blog, CC&BT!
Coffee, Cabs and Bar Tabs exists to make food enthusiasts into experienced, confidant cooks. The purpose of CC&BT is to inform readers about proper cooking techniques, enlighten readers about interesting ingredients from around the world, and to teach recipes that will ultimately make the reader into a better cook!
Thank you for stopping by and for reading!
FAQs
Who is the blogger behind CC&BT?
Amanda Neal
What is your current occupation?
Blogger by day, chef by night. I’m currently working professionally as a recipe developer and tester in Manhattan.
Where did you attend school?
I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in both English and Communications (which sparked my love for writing and blogging). I then attended the International Culinary Center and received a Classic Culinary Arts plus Farm to Table certificate.
What camera do you use for your blog photo’s?
As strange as this may sound, I use my iPhone 8! The iPhone 8 has an amazing camera that takes very clear photos. Sometime in the future I would love to invest in a camera, but for now I love the personality that my iPhone photos bring to CC&BT.
How did you create the CC&BT blog logo?
I created the CC&BT blog logo on an amazing site called Canva! Canva is a graphic design software site where you can edit and create photos with various graphics and type faces. Check it out here.
