Guacamole with Jalapeño and Lime

This recipe for guacamole is without a doubt the most simple and most delicious rendition you’ll ever make. It’s simplicity lets the avocado shine while still showcasing the spicy jalapeño and acidic lime. Serve with tortilla chips or any favorite dipper on the side.

Guacamole with Jalapeño and Lime
Yield: about 2 cups

2 ripe avocados, halved, pitted, flesh removed
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
1/2 jalapeño, seeds removed and minced
Juice of 1 whole lime
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Tortilla chips, for serving

1) In a medium bowl, mash the avocados until smooth but leave a few small chunks for texture. Stir in the cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice and salt. Serve in a bowl with tortilla chips for dipping.

* Cook’s Note: Char the jalapeño in a broiler or over a gas flame before mincing for additional smokey flavor in your guacamole.
