A grilled cheese is a childhood favorite, college student staple, and all around classic sandwich individuals of all ages know and love. Everyone has their favorite recipe, ingredients and technique for making the “perfect” sandwich, so I decide to create my own spin on the classic; grilled cheese egg-in-a-nest with spicy mayo!

For a twist on the grilled cheese sandwich, try cutting out the middle and crack an egg into it for a grilled cheese egg-in-a-nest. What makes this sandwich special is the spicy mayo spread on the bread, giving this grilled cheese a unique kick of heat. Serve with additional Sriracha on the side if you’re a lover of spice.
